Minnesota home with hail and storm damage at dusk
Storm Damage

After the storm, you shouldn't have to fight your insurance company alone.

Adventure Companies walks Minnesota and Wisconsin homeowners through the entire insurance claim process — from the first inspection to the final shingle.

One storm. One contractor. Every line of the claim handled.

Minnesota hail and wind events don't damage just a roof — they hit siding, windows, gutters, screens, soffit, AC condensers, and detached structures. Most homeowners only discover half of it, and most insurance scopes only cover what was clearly flagged on inspection day.

We've been doing storm restoration in this market long enough to know what gets missed and what gets pushed back on. Our job is to make sure the carrier sees the full scope of damage, approves the full scope of repair, and that your home is put back together right — by the same crew, under one warranty.

The claim process

How we walk you through it — step by step.

Step 01

Free post-storm inspection

After any hail or high-wind event, we walk the entire exterior — roof, siding, windows, gutters, screens, AC fins, and detached structures — and document every impact with photos and measurements. No cost, no obligation.

Step 02

Damage report you can hand your insurer

You get a written, photo-backed damage report with industry codes and an itemized scope. It's the same language adjusters use — which means fewer questions, faster approvals.

Step 03

We meet your adjuster on the roof

We're there the day the insurance adjuster comes out. We walk the roof together, point out every hit, and make sure nothing — soft metals, vents, flashings, wraps — gets overlooked or undervalued.

Step 04

Scope review & supplements

We compare the carrier's scope line-by-line against actual conditions and current code requirements. If items are missing or under-priced, we file supplements with documentation until the scope matches the job.

Step 05

Quality installation, our crews

Once approved, our crews handle the work: roofing, siding, windows, gutters, soffit/fascia, and detached structures. One contractor, one project manager, one schedule.

Step 06

Final invoicing & depreciation release

We submit certificates of completion, final invoices, and the paperwork your carrier needs to release recoverable depreciation. You pay your deductible — we handle the rest.

Every trade, under one roof

Damage we restore on a storm claim.

You don't need to coordinate a roofer, a siding crew, a window company, and a gutter installer. We self-perform across the entire exterior, so the claim — and the schedule — stays under one project manager.

Roofing

Hail bruising, granular loss, wind-lifted shingles, ridge & hip damage, exposed mat, and impact-cracked vents and pipe boots. Full tear-off and code-compliant replacement.

Siding

Cracked or shattered vinyl, dented steel and aluminum, fractured fiber-cement, and torn house-wrap. Hover-powered before-and-after visualization included.

Windows & Screens

Broken glass, damaged frames, torn or punctured screens, and failed seals. Replacement that matches existing trim and brick mold.

Gutters & Downspouts

Dented and dimpled gutters, bent downspouts, damaged hangers, and crushed splash blocks. Seamless gutter replacement in matching color.

Soffit, Fascia & Trim

Cracked aluminum, dented vents, and wind-torn fascia wraps. Repaired or replaced as part of the approved scope.

Decks, Fences & Detached Structures

Sheds, detached garages, fencing, and deck surfaces. Often covered under the same claim — and often missed by the adjuster.

Common questions

What homeowners ask us most.

Will filing a claim raise my rates?
Storm-related claims (hail, wind) are act-of-God losses and are not rated the same as at-fault claims. We always recommend talking to your agent, but most homeowners see no individual rate increase from a legitimate storm claim.
Do I have to use the contractor my insurance suggests?
No. You have the right to choose any licensed, insured contractor you trust. Your insurer pays the approved scope regardless of who performs the work.
What does it cost me?
You pay your policy deductible. The approved repair cost — minus that deductible — is paid by your carrier directly for the work we perform.
How long do I have to file a claim?
Most Minnesota policies require claims within 12 months of the date of loss, but damage left unaddressed can void coverage. The sooner we inspect, the better.
What if my claim gets denied?
A denial isn't the end of the road. We can request a re-inspection, file supplements with additional documentation, or work with a licensed public adjuster when the situation warrants it.
